Coming summer 2027
Memory care is coming to Burnet
Silverleaf Eldercare at Burnet will bring specialized memory care to a peaceful, home like setting close to the community you know. The residence is under construction and expected to open in summer 2027. It is not yet accepting residents, and the opening date is a target rather than a promise.
A 16 bed residence built for memory care
Silverleaf already provides Alzheimer's certified memory care at Bee Cave, and Burnet is next: a 16 bed residence designed from the ground up for people living with dementia, bringing that care closer to families in the Hill Country.
The residence will be designed to feel familiar and comforting, never institutional, with a backyard of mature oak trees and scenic views so residents will experience the restorative side of nature as part of daily life.
Guided by the Positive Approach to Care
Care at Silverleaf at Burnet will be guided by the Positive Approach to Care, the method developed by dementia care educator Teepa Snow. Caregivers will focus on remaining abilities rather than limitations, meeting each resident where they are and preserving dignity at every stage of memory loss.
Because the residence will be intentionally small, caregivers will come to know every resident: their daily patterns, their preferences, their evolving needs. Support will be available around the clock, including help with daily living, medication management, and personal care.
